Sunnyvale,
CA - June 6, 2008 - The S800 FireNEX-COAX™ will be the first 1394b device for sale over a single COAX!
Newnex has developed a new IEEE 1394 long haul repeater that uses coax cables. This special solution allows use of a single cable for duplex data transferring in both directions. The maximum range is an impressive 162m. Various types of coax and connectors will be supported.
At the Vision show, booth #301, the demo will show the unit extending a machine vision camera from the host computer.
The FireNEX-COAX™ uses flexible coax cabling, etc. The advantages of using standard coax cables enable low cost connections, terminations by the end user, and the possibility of using existing cabling infrastructure, plus it has excellent EMC performance.
