FireNEX™-U4F20G
FireNEX™-U4F20G is a high-performance USB fiber optic repeater designed for long-distance USB connectivity. For host systems equipped with a USB4 or Thunderbolt USB-C port, it transmits the USB signal over EMI-free fiber optic cable to the Remote Unit featuring two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, each supporting data rates up to 10Gbps.
With excellent signal integrity, FireNEX™-U4F20G extends connection distances up to 700 meters for USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) and up to 300 meters for USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps), far exceeding the limitations of a typical passive copper USB cables, which are normally restricted to less than 2 meters. The upstream USB-C port on the Local Unit supports hot-plug operation, helping prevent system reboots if the fiber link is disconnected or if the Remote (downstream) Unit is powered off.
FireNEX™-U4F20G operates using native USB drivers on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and remains backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0/1.1 devices. Fully compatible with USB4 and Thunderbolt hosts, it is ideal for professional applications including industrial automation, machine vision, medical imaging, scientific research, and Pro AV environments.
