USB-IF Certified Cables and Hubs
Starting from the beginning era of USB development, as one of the active developers and contributors to the USB standard, Newnex has been devoted to design and manufacture products that meet the requirements of all generations of USB specification, providing the top rated products to the professional USB user community.
IEC 62680 (USB) Conformity
EU legislation for common charging defines the mandatory interoperability requirements for using USB-C® and USB Power Delivery as specified in the IEC 62680 (USB) Standards, (EN IEC 62680-1-3, EN IEC 62680-1-2).
For USB Type-C® Cables, the IEC 62680 Conformity Program requirements are the same as the USB-IF full certification program, meaning Newnex’ above listed compliant USB-C cables has passed USB-IF Conformity testing for IEC 62680 (USB) standards and is listed on the USB-IF IEC 62680 conformity list in support of the EU Common Charger Directive and other related EU legislations (such as RED, ErP Lot 7).
Corresponding IEC 62680 (USB) standards are noted below:
- USB Type-C® Cable and Connector Specification: IEC 62680-1-3:2022
- USB Power Delivery specification: IEC 62680-1-2:2022
*Only applies to products that support USB Power Delivery
Note that USB specifications are backwards-compatible such that products that are compliant to the newer revisions of the USB specifications will still meet the conformity requirements to the IEC 62680 (USB) standards.
Contact Newnex if you need a Certificate of Conformity to IEC 62680 for a specific product.
